Yoga

Adult yoga class.
Yoga is a discipline that brings harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. Classes will follow Iyenger yoga. This type of yoga will focus on body alignment and precision.  However, some poses focus on flowing the breath in static/still postures when holding the pose longer. These postures will be standing, bending, squatting, balancing, seated, supine, and prone.

Beginner Yoga: This class will explore breathing techniques, yoga philosophy, traditional poses and the fundamentals of flow yoga. Modifications will be offered as you practice each pose.

Intermediate Yoga: this class is a combination of levels and experiences. Participants are usually familiar with the concepts of yoga and poses can be modified for the more experienced and confident person.  This class will start out with beginner moves for the first few classes then move on to more intermediate yoga moves.  This class moves at a slightly faster pace than a Beginner Yoga class because most people are familiar with yoga.

Both Beginner and Intermediate classes meet twice weekly. Participants for both classes are asked to bring a mat, water bottle, yoga block and strap.

Classes will be led by Carol Wreggelsworth.
